Class size comtemplation

I’ve held the Microwave Kiln Fusing class twice now. Stated class size of 4. Both times I’ve had 3 folks show up. The class will be full until shortly before time, and then someone cancels too close for a replacement to fill in.

I’m wondering if I should let the class go to 5 folks. I’d put in the warnings – if you are the 5th person you won’t get a piece of glass finished tonight. Does that sound acceptable?

That makes lots of sense. The 5th person can go back and make one at their leisure. The main thing is to learn the process. That is what classes are all about. Thank you for teaching the class at all.

That is exactly why I opposed raising the attendance requirement from three to five for not-required classes when the previous board was revising the honorarium rules.
