I’m new to the group and as a person with a wheelchair also with muscular dystrophy and avid photography enthusiast I have found a nice solution that works well for me. I have a tray that attaches to my chair so it’s like a mini desk if that makes sense. I have used a JOBY gorilla pod with a rotating head and mounted it to the tray using shoe strings so I can move the tripod but have it tethered to the tray to prevent tipping off the front or sides. I know this is an old post and I’m hopeful this reply helps if you haven’t found a solution that is most amicable for you.
