A SMD hand soldering class

I have just modified the draft of my board from here

to use the Makerspace Logo and ordered a batch for a class I will offer on how to hand solder SMD components
The revised board will look like this

The size of the board is roughly 1" x 1.5". The parts are 0805 and SOT23, so pretty easy sizes to start with. The expected cost for the materials will be between $10 and $15. I will place on the calendar (with a class size of 6) as soon as the board arrive (abt 2-3 weeks). If you would like more of this class please encourage @artg_dms to help teach it!

One of my "wishlist " projects is to swap the SMD LEDs in my car dash, so will keep my eyes open for this.

I have just submitted a class to cover how the above circuit works:

https://calendar.dallasmakerspace.org/events/view/2988

It should be on the calendar Friday, July 7 abt 3:30p

It isn’t nescessary to understand how the circuit works to take the future class to build the circuit, but understanding how this circuit works will help considerably if you have any interest in Electronics
